MY STORY
I have experienced the difference between leading a life that is based on the expectations of others instead of what I believe in. This has partly been the result of being bullied in primary school and feeling consistently unwelcome in the place where we lived. I became an insecure and rebellious child who was...
..scared to fully open up in loving relationships because of the fear being hurt and as a consequence being destructive in my relationships.
..learning about my boundaries after recklessly crossing them.
..exceedingly harsh on myself which led to full-force workaholic behavior within corporate settings, driven by an insatiable desire for acceptance which I mostly got but the toll on my well-being was palpable leaving me consistently exhausted.
This all made me realize that this wasn’t the life I wanted to lead.
A new path opened up for me when I became aware of my self-destructive behavior. Suddenly a lot of weight was lifted off my shoulders. Then, I started to see the beauty of myself and my potential.
From here I became the conscious fulfilled woman I am today and who is fueled by true deep connection with self and others. I learned to be vulnerable and although it’s far from easy it has become the birthplace of my courage. I now make conscious choices how to use my energy knowing what gives me joy and happiness. I also know better how to align my life with my work as a (group)coach, as a mother of my beautiful and at moments very rebellious (!) children of 2, 5 and 7 years old, in my loving relationship with my husband and in any important relationship. And yes, this is a never-ending path of learning and stumbling. Yet, navigating it with the guidance of my authentic powers has proven to be transformative. It makes all the difference, providing me with the resilience and strength necessary to confront life's challenges and discover greater fulfillment and happiness.
